Hyper Fleet (beta) Overview
Hyperfleet.io is a space themed .io game that can be found online. For best game results, we recommend that this .io game be played on the desktop. Laptop, mobile, and tablet options make for a diminished experience, primarily because of the movement in hyperfleet.io is done with a mouse. As far as the game itself, you play as a small ship tasked with the mission to defend your mothership against oncoming waves of enemies combatants. Appropriately enough, your starting name is ROOKIE, one that can be changed if you desire, but we found it to be a fun adage and decided to keep it!
Despite this simple task, there are a few elements of hyperfleet.io that enrich the game as a whole and makes it stand out from other popular .io games. The first is the teamwork element. This takes some of the pressure of competition off that comes with .io games and allows you to just focus on a fun game experience.
As you destroy ships, you gain points, which you can spend by landing inside the mothership, another cool feature! This cut screen not only allows you a respite during the game, but it also allows you to repair your ship or upgrade to a larger ship. This is a serious advantage over .io games because gameplay is always moving and you die constantly. This may not be the case with hyperfleet.io. Overall, these added features totally transformed the .io game experience and we highly recommend you try it out!
Hyper Fleet (beta) Strategy
We do have a few strategies to try out in hyperfleet.io to enrich gameplay. The first strategy learning how to stop your ship while flying. What we mean by this is that your ship will fly in the direction that you move your mouse, by default. However, you can stop your ship by hovering your mouse on top of your ship. Why would you do this? Well, in do so, you can continue to fire on a target without the need to constantly loop back around to fire on them. This is a huge advantage when you are attacking the very large enemy ships because you can constantly chip away at them rather than moving around and around the shoot them.
This takes us into our second strategy, which is to seek out the larger ships! At the beginning of a wave, small and mid-size ships swarm your mothership. They are constantly moving and a pain to pin down. If you travel a little farther from your mothership, you will find much larger ships (but not as large as your mothership). Now, these ships have little drones that fly around and shoot at you, but they do such little damage that you can just ignore them and focus on the large ship. Actually, when they fly around, they will just run into your laser and die. So, find those larger ships and take them out. They take a wee bit longer to destroy, but they net 5 times as many points and are actually easier to take out because they don't move.
The last strategy we recommend is to turn on the auto-fire toggle with the right mouse button. Then your ship will continually fire at enemies without the need to hold down the left mouse button to fire. Keep in mind, though, that this toggle only last like 20 seconds and then you need to activate it again. Either way, it is worth it! Now you have some solid strategies to survive multiple waves the next time you play hyperfleet.io!
