You play as a square in smelter.io. With each movement, your piece heats up. You use this energy to take out opponents. As far as a primary strategy, you should familiarize yourself with the special keys scattered across the board. Using them properly will give you a great advantage over your foes. There are six different pieces to be aware of: Stars – these will increase your score.Shock – instantly kill enemies with lightning.Fire – allows you to double jump. The first jump will have an extra kick.Bomb – explodes any enemies within its radius.Shot – shoots out arrows diagonally at enemies.Teleport – Escape to another part of the board with this tile. Again, the better you know each of these tiles, the easier domination will be! The only other strategy you should better yourself with is the movements and jumping required to take out the other guys. It can be a bit tricky to master, so if you do some practice rounds, you will be winning in no time! The nice thing is that the gameplay is a little slower so there is time for mastery.

Moving in Smelter.io is super easy. You can click the left mouse button to move up, down, left, or right (or use the arrow keys). Each time you move your piece heats up. Clicking the right mouse button in the direction of an opponent will jump at them, release the heat, and kill them. Being on a grid, the movement is a little slower paced than some traditional .io games.
